Brush your teeth: Don't stop brushing your teeth. This will lead to many serious problems. Thinning of tooth enamel is caused by several things that you can control. First use a soft toothbrush with a non abrasive toothpaste, or none at all. Limit the acids in your diet. This means sodas, even diet soda, bottled teas, energy drinks and juice drinks. Decrease sugary snacks and foods. Have regular dental care.

Damage: If you do not remove bacteria and food debris from your teeth by brushing and flossing, the acids and enzymes they produce will damage your tooth enamel. Follow your dentist's oral hygiene instructions to the letter. Used properly, a toothbrush will not damage your teeth.
