Each case: Each case is different. Why not ask the dentist who is actually treating you? In most cases they come off at the same time.

Sometimes: In many cases, getting straight teeth in 1 jaw (upper or lower) is faster than the other. So, the braces can come off when the teeth are straight in the 1 jaw. However, all your back teeth have to be lined-up properly for this to happen. Usually, the upper teeth align faster than the lowers (but not always). Only your dentist or orthodontist can decide on the appropriate time to take braces off.
