A member asked:

I really need some answers! why are alcoholics so angry all the time and rage a lot?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Overgeneralization: Alcoholics, like diabetics or people with cancer, are not some monolithic group of people who are all (or even mostly) the same. People who develop alcoholism often have underlying psychological and psychiatric problems, and people who develop ANY addiction are likely to experience frustration, many failures and other adversities that may cause them to react in the way you describe.Recommend help
