A member asked:

I have some white stuff in wisdom tooth socket, what is this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Blood clot or food: After about a week, the red blood cells start to wash out of the clot and it can look yellowish or white. This is normal. Alternatively, it may be food getting in the socket. If you can't rinse it out or you are concerned, see the dentist/surgeon who took the tooth out to check it out.
