Fixed bridge: It really depends on the location and number of teeth missing. A very temporary solution is an essix retainer, which is removable, however you cannot eat with it in. The only other solution is a bridge, which is not removable. This solution can only replace a few teeth in a row and the teeth on either side of the space must be healthy and strong enough to support it.

Permanent Bridge: may be recommended if you're missing one or more teeth. Unlike removable devices such as dentures, which you can take out and clean daily, permanent bridges are cemented onto existing teeth.
