Extraction pain: The dentist who removed your wisdom teeth is the one to discuss and prescribe pain medication with you. Call that office.

Not uncommon: After the removal of teeth, and especially impacted wisdom teeth that are closely approximating the adjacent teeth, you may have sensitivity to hot and cold in the adjacent teeth, and may also feel as if your bite is off. The discomfort can last for several days during your recovery but should improve over time. If it does not, contact your dentist or surgeon for follow up.

Normal: Normal to have pain after wisdom tooth extraction for a few days. If getting worse after a few days, you may have a dry socket. Call the dentist who did the extraction for assessment.
