Had a root canal and crown, still in pain, help?

See your dentist: Your crown could be hitting heavy and causing pain. Your root canal could be failing. The tooth could be cracked. Starting with an evaluation by a dentist is your best option.

See dentist: Did you have pain before the crown? If no, and you developed pain after receiving the crown, then most likely the crown is slightly high, it traumatizing the periodontal ligament which attaches the tooth to the bone. The crown biting surface needs to be adjusted to reduce premature contact. You need to call the dentist to have the tooth looked at.
