Therapy and meds: You may benefit from an approach emphasizing therapy in order to provide you with enhanced coping skills as well as a new perspective on life that will place phobias in a context that will promote understanding of your insecurities. If talk therapy is not fruitful you could also explore the use of medicines if the phobia proves to be incapacitating in terms of your activities of daily living.

CBT for some works: In contrast to other forms of psychotherapy, cognitive therapy is usually more focused on the present, more time-limited, and more problem-solving oriented. In addition, patients learn specific skills that they can use for the rest of their lives. These skills involve identifying distorted thinking, modifying beliefs, relating to others in different ways, and changing behaviors.
