Not painful: The aligners when placed, move the teeth very little and the discomfort is short lived. Once inserted, there is no more movement until the recommended next tray.

Mild discomfort: Invisalign is very gentle, and usually causes only mild discomfort. The forces are very mild, and there is never anything to poke or cut you.

Neither: well, honestly, some people take some time to get used to them (a week or 2) but once they adjust they are at most mildly discomforting, but likely not really a problem at all!

Bearable: Uncomfortable, but not unduly so. Manageable with OTC analgesics, soft diet, saline rinses, and good hygiene. More comfortable but less effective than braces. See fully qualified Orthodontic Specialist for best quality care and best management solutions.
