Absolutely not: Do not wash invisalign in the dishwasher. Here are the reasons: 1) the aligners are very thin, and can easily work or melt at higher temperature. 2) the aligners are so light also, and the pressure from water will displace the aligner(s). You may end up finding them damaged or broken by dishwasher's moving parts. While you are brushing/flossing, soak in denture-cleaning solution to clean them.

NO: The material the clear aligner trays are made of can warp or change shape if the dishwasher uses high temperature water. Like any plastic, they are sensitive to high temperatures.

Never: The heated water from the dishwasher alone is enough to distort the aligners and render them ineffective. Invisalign provides wriiten instructions as to the best manner in which to cleanse them effectively without impacting their effectiveness.

NO!: The heat will warp them. Same holds true for retainers, removable active appliances, night guards, etc. Also, don't boil them. Don't leave them in a hot car where they can warp. Ask your Orthodontic Specialist for cleaning instructions that pertain to your appliances.

Do NOT: put your Invisalign in the dishwasher. The water is too hot and the plastic trays might not melt but they will distort and not fit anymore. If you're using the white vinegar as a cleaner, make sure you rinse the trays first. That will help the cleaner work more efficiently and protect your trays.
