Is 6 days too long to wait to treat a tooth infection? what could happen if it was longer?

Infections: Infections are best treated as soon as possible. The longer one waits, the more difficult to get under control, the more the local destruction to tissues, the greater the chance of it spreading to other parts of the body, and the greater the chance of serious complications.
