Would you recommend lamictal as an antidepressant from someone who has not been diagnosis with epilepsy but does have sleep walking?

See neurologist.: Lamictal is an anticonvulsant which is also used as mood stabilizer in bipolar disorder. I would not recommend it as a frontline treatment for depression or sleep walking. I would recommend a sleep study and an eeg. Your pcp is your best bet who can then refer you to appropriate specialist.

As an adult I just developed sleep walking and talking. Don't history of this, nor anxiety. I do have epilepsy but never presented like this before. Is it possible for this to be new presentation of epilepsy? Or new type of seizure?
Eeg showed spikes and slowing. Also migraines & sudden onset adult bed wetting. No diagnosis but prescribed lamictal. Do you think my doc suspects epilepsy?
Bipolar depression. Pdoc will only give me stims not antidepressants. Lamictal is impairing me. Other stabilizers worse. Atypical dont help. Options?
I don't want to switch to lamictal for epilepsy.It's like it's making neuro angry. I'm having no seizures now i'm stay @ home mom. Isn't it my choice?
