A member asked:

I have epilepsy and take lamotrigine an epilepsy specialist said it could be why i don't sleep i can't take sleeping medicine cos my epilepsy pills?!

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unusual: Lamotrigine does not usually cause sleeplessness, but rather sleepiness. Consult your doctor to determine whether your dosing is appropriate for your epilepsy. There are approaches that can be used to help with sleep issues which can include medicines which may be used with your anti-seizure medications.
