URI: Difficult to know since your doctor was able to examine her and we cannot. She may have had strep throat, sinus infection, and so on. Or it is possible that the doctor was just playing it safe.

Antibiotics are frequently prescribed for bronchitis. They are usually of no benefit for this. Best results are usually from inhalers.
