I contracted the flu 9 days ago. went to the doctor, completed antibiotic course etc. this morning i was coughing out mucus with blood in it?

Cough up blood : The answer to your concern personally requires more information, and you should see your doctor in person. Having some blood from respiratory infections can be of no concern, but if there is a lot of blood, more than 600ml a day, that is very concerning. Do you have a fever or difficulties breathing ?-if so call a doctor now. Sometimes after the flu, someone can a superimposed infection.

Does not add up: If you had "Flu" why did you take antibiotics? Do you have fever? Blood tinged mucus is not a serious issue at this stage of the recovery. If you have fever, you should see your doctor.
