A member asked:

Can you have bacteria in your blood without fever? symptoms are tired, weakness and hard to walk for 2 weeks? dr did blood culture?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes, sort of: We all have transient bacterimia, i.e., bacteria in blood, almost every day, when we brush teeth, however the body is efficient in clearing these bacteria. In people with damaged heart valves it may cause infection. You are seeing a doctor and it would be prudent to discuss these issue with her/him. There may be other reasons for your weakness rather than bacteria in blood.
