Hi, i have a lump on the upper side of my back on the left it does not cause any discomfort i've had it for at least 8 years dr say cyst should i worry?

Lipoma: It is not uncommon for us to see people with lipoma, a subcutaneous lump which is an accumulation of fatty tissue. They can grow and we only recommend surgery if they start compressing tissued and push on the nerve to cause discomfort. If evaluated well and that is the diagnosis, then it is ok. Other benign cysts are sebaceous cyst which is like a big come done and can get infected.
