Is there a way to correct deviated septum and or associated symptoms without the operation?

Most people have...: Some deviation of the septum that does not produce obstructive symptoms until they get cold or allergy symptoms that cause the nose to become congested. Those people benefit from medications that treat the nasal congestion, such as nasal steroids and antihistamines sprays, or saline irrigation. If the septum is so bent that even afrin will not relieve the obstruction, surgery is probably needed.
