A member asked:

Why does my nostrils have a burning sensation for no reason? it happens every once in a while out of nowhere.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Good question..: A number of environmental factors can stimulate the nerve endings in the nose and produce burning symptoms. A common cause is cold temperature. Chemicals and other irritants can do the same thing. The burning may also be caused by viruses and infections in the nose and sinuses.
