Complex ISSUES: Optic neuritis is an acute inflammation of the optic nerve caused by multiple sclerosis in a majority of cases, but also neuromyelitis optica, viral infections, and even arteritis. Successful treatment can be achieved via oral or intravenous steroids, or acth, and no dietary measures or supplements will work.
