Optic neuritis : No, optic neuritis can't be caused by UV light rays or sunlight. Optic neuritis is an inflammation of the optic nerve and is caused by multiple sclerosis as well as other inflammatory and infectious disorders.

Optic neuritis & sun: No, sunlight normally affects the cornea and the lens, and sometimes nonvisual surfaces of the eye. Sunlight does not cause optic neuritis.
