Depends: While steroids in general could reduce the immune system, the amount and duration you are using for your eyes probably does not place you at higher risk; however, ask your prescriber who will know the correct answer. Yes: People who are on chronic corticosteroid treatment are at slightly higher risk of contracting COVID if exposed. In addition, those on steroid who contract COVID have a slightly higher risk of their COVID being more serious.
