One needs: To figure out why your tongue is going numb. There is no clear cut answer without an examination, review of your mdical history, medications etc it certainly is not normal and should be examined by your dentist or physician hope this helps.

Numb tongue: It means that you should see your PCP. Referral to a neurologist is advisable.
