Stage anxiety?: Anxiety can cause many physical symptoms including dry mouth, rapid heart rate, rapid breathing, pins and needles and/or numbing sensation in face, mouth and extremities, nausea, diarrhea, heart pounding, tremulousness, etc. I don't know specifically why you have the experience you do, but stage anxiety might be a possibility.
