Depends: Most patients with Bell's Palsy have complete recovery, however this is affected by a number of things, such as: 1) younger age 2) milder symptoms at onset 3) early resolution of symptoms (<2 weeks) 4) early treatment with steroid with or without antivirals. Most start to have improvement within 3 weeks, however symptoms may remain up to 1 yr before improving. Few have lifelong symptoms.
