How does a composite tooth veneer compare in cost to a porcelin veneer? 2/3rds of the out-of-pocket cost to the patient with no insurance?

Materials: The cost of a composite veneer as much lower than that of porcelain .The composite veneer gets done same visit chair side , but porcelain veneers involve different tooth preparation and impressions taken and sent to the lab for making and then it gets placed on the tooth on a deferent visit, all that adds to the cost making it much more expensive.

About 2/3: Your estimate would be correct in my office. It will probably vary a little depending on the dental office. Dental insurance doesn't cover veneers so that won't be an issue.

Veneers: Short term or long term? Thrilled or satisfied? Porcelain veneers, while having a higher initial cost are superior to composite veneers in durability and aesthetics and over time probably less costly. Composite veneers wear down, can change color and will need replacement over time.
