Call ASAP: While it takes almost 48 hours for most antibiotics to show effects, it can be a dangerous condition to keep having a swollen face. Many times, helping the persistent swelling is as simple as changing the antibiotics. Please call your dentist asap and get an advice that is specific for your condition and medication. Hope this helps!

Call your dentist: He\she knows your medical and dental history and we don't. We don't know what's causing the infection, what was done, what antibiotics you are on, dosage? For how long? Etc. All this plays a factor in the decision what to do next. You may need further treatment asap, change in medication, or just waiting it out a little longer. If your dentist is not in, call his\her emergency service.
