Minimal: For this sort of injury ice and elevation and a stiff soled shoe are the keys. Use tylenol (acetaminophen) or Ibuprofen or Aleve for the pain. You are unlikely to find someone to give you stronger meds for this injury (and you shouldn't really need them.).

Depends: The 1st thing to do is to determine if there is a fracture and if the toe alignment is poor. Medication will then be prescribed as deemed needed for the injury.
