Several Options: There are several things you can do to try to alleviate the pain, OTC pain meds, ice, accupressure, etc. However, the best option is to see your dentist to determine the cause and have the appropriate treatment performed to resolve the problem.

Temporary: Any OTC remedies are temporary. They do not "cure" your infected tooth, only temporarily mask the symptoms. To fix the problem you MUST see your Dentist. Nothing else will do much except cost you money and allow the infection to worsen and spread.
