A member asked:

How painful is it after wisdom extraction?

Depends: With any surgical procedure there is some level of discomfort or pain. The unknown variable is how each person perceives and responds to pain and discomfort. One patient may have four impacted wisdom teeth removed and take nothing stronger than an otc med and never skip a beat, while another patient may have a single erupted tooth removed, require strong pain meds and be in bed for several days.

Depends: Pain after extractions depends on many variables such as if bone had to be removed to get tooth out, type of bone surrounding tooth, and a patients general tolerance to dental work. I would discuss your individual case with your dentist.
