An eternity !: If your dentures don't fit, see the experts for evaluation. See the prosthodontist. Adhesives are for limited use only -- read the package. Overuse is common and leads to allowing you to do things that you should not be doing. This leads to accelerated bone loss and worse fitting dentures. See the expert for evaluation and options. Implants are an excellent option, in many applications. Good luck.

At any time: Using adhesive as long it is either powders or pastes used very sparingly on the denture are fine so long as the dentures fit in the first place. Adhesives are used only for help and will not "glue" the dentures in place. Implants will do that.

When the dentures: Start becoming loose and ill- fitting then adhesives can be used as an interim till you can see your dentist for a reline or fabrication of new dentures depending on the age of the dentures. Even though the dentures themselves may look great, the underlying supporting structures are dynamic and changing. Best to be evaluated by your dentist. You might consider implant supported dentures.
