Not usually: Endodontists are specialists for root canal therapy, apical surgeries, and some bone grafting. Extractions are usually left for the general dentists and oral surgeons.

Of course he/she can: Endodontists are dentists with 2-3 additional years of specialty education in root canal treatment. Extraction of teeth and implant placement is within the scope of Endodontics.
