Endodontist gave me amoxicillin but told me to only take at night if my tooth is throbing? i thought i had to finish the bottle ... im confused?

Confused: I am confused too. An NSAID such as Ibuprofen would make more sense to take on as needed basis for throbbing. Antibiotics, such as amoxicillin, would be used more for prophylaxis of or treatment of an infection, and would be taken for a defined course.
