A member asked:

Is it normal to have depression after tooth extraction?

No, it is not: The two are likely unrelated. The only way that they could possibly be related would be if an infection had gone into your brain after the tooth extraction. However, if that were the case, you would be so ill you would not have been able to submit this question. Best wishes.

Feeling depressed?: Having clinical depression may not be the same as just feeling depressed. Simply having your teeth removed will not likely "cause" clinical depression. However, it is common that you feel depressed after losing a tooth. Just like losing any other parts of your body, losing a tooth means losing a part of themselves--or youth-- for many people.
