Can't Breath: First address this issue with your dentist and see if the two of you can solve the problem by taking a break every 20-30 seconds or not sitting all the way back. I would also suggest that you see an ENT if you cannot breath through your nose. If it is anxiety then make sure the dentist explains everything before during and after so you understand the procedure and can relax and breath.

Anxiety: Dr. Karsant gave you an excellent answer. This is most often related to anxiety with treatment. As you build up a rapport with your dentist and have confidence in his\her expertise and compassion for you, it gets easier. These issues can usually be worked out by starting with some simple treatment and going slowly. If it can't, you might consider seeing a therapist to overcome your fears.
