Best to avoid...: On the first day, it is best not to. If you must, be very careful.... Too much or too forceful rinsing is often the cause of dry socket. After you rinse you are likely to spit, and this spitting is another major reason for dry socket. If your mouth feels dirty, carefully brush your teeth with no or little paste for a few days. Rinse as little as you can.

Yes: Yes you can rinse. However, minimize the amount of rinsing. Also do not spit the water out of your mouth when rinsing. Let the water "fall out" of your mouth. Spitting can cause the blood clots over the teeth extraction sites to become dislodged leading to bleeding. I hope you have a quick and easy recovery.
