NO: Wisdom teeth don't and can't compress nerves. The confusion might be with you having heard that there is a risk of nerve damage with the surgical removal of wisdom teeth, especially ones that are impacted.

Wisdom teeth: I have never heard of this, nor read about it. They can cause erosion/resorption of the tooth in front of them if they are angled toward them and if you are really unlucky. This usually doesn't happen often. Having the teeth removed can sometimes cause nerve damage, but not very often. Your dentist can discuss the risks with you.
