Should: Typically, root canal treatment does not have physical activities as a contraindication. However, it is best to let your dentist or endodontist (root canal doctor) know about your plan to exercise. Everyone's case is different, and everyone's workout activity varies greatly: you may be given a more customized post-treatment advice once your doctor knows what you are planning to do.
Dr. Jason Alliger
Endodontics 23 years experience
Yes!: Absolutely. There is a chance that heavy activity can make the tooth throb due to increased blood flow from exercise. If something like that happens, slow it down.
