You have hit ..: The peak pain period. The pain cycle is like a rollercoaster. Just as it seems to be getting better it gets worse, usually day 7 to 10.This is also the peak bleeding time. What is happening is that the scab is starting to dissolve and come off. You should start feeling better again in 4 to 5 days. Sometimes thrush can also increase pain during this period. Look for a white coat on the tongue.
