See eye care doc: If the white part around the eye gets red with contact lens wear, this may be a problem such as poor fitting, extended wear with too low an oxygen contact, contact lens solution allergies, early infection or inflammation in the eye, seasonal allergies, dry eye, etc. Recommend an eye exam with your eye care provider.

Worth checking: Difference in pupil size, known as anisocoria, requires prompt consult with a physician as it may indicate some brain problems. I would refrain from naming diseases that can cause aniscoria to spare unnecessary fear, but i would advise him to get to the doctor promptly.

More info: There are medical conditions where one pupil or both pupils are dilated. It might be an isolated problem or one manifestation of a different disorder. Also: does your eye react to light? Do you have any associated symptoms? Might need further w/u and investigation. Seeing your md would guide your next step.

Several things: If this is something new, i'd go to the er, especially if your eyelid is affected as well. We need to rule out dangerous scenarios, like a third nerve palsy, which is sometimes caused by an aneurysm. There are other things that can cause it as well.
