Injury or illness: Horner's syndrome is caused by damage or dysfunction of a nerve that afffects eyelid movement, pupil constriction and sweating. It can be aquired in many ways a few of which are trauma to the neck or tumor in the chest. It is important to see a physician for new horner's syndrome of unknown cause.
