Lots...: First of mall ivf bypasses the fallopian tubes, helps with fertilization and allows you to choose the best egg/embryo. Anything that damages one tube often can damage the other. So an open tube does not always work, and a tube that looks ok next to a damaged tube may not really be ok. So ivf is very helpful.
