I get these electrical zaps in my head daily. i know i used to get them with antidepressants but have been off these for a year. what can cause this?

Brain zaps: These withdrawal symptoms have been known to last between 1 year in patients coming off of ssri therapy and up to 18 months coming off of snri's. En.Wikipedia.Org/wiki/ssri_discontinuation_syndrome best wishes. It should eventually resolve.

Brain zaps: Symptoms described as "brain zaps, " "brain shocks, " "brain shivers, " "brain pulse-waves, " "head shocks, " "pulses, " "flickers, " or "cranial zings" are common withdrawal symptoms experienced during discontinuation (or reduction of dose) of antidepressant drugs (wikepedia) paroxetine and venlafaxine may induce prolonged syndromes up to 18 month. Severe anxiety conditions may do the same symptoms.
