See another doctor: This type of injury may require surgery depending how bad it was. I would speak to a sports orthopedist or podiatrist.

See ORS/sports: I would suggest having your doctor refer you to an orthopedic surgeon w/ sports medicine training(fellowship-trained).He will have seen many syndesmosis injuries(if that is for sure your dx.)and can examine and advise treatment .Occassionally I have seen chronic syndesmosis injuries that calcify the interosseous ligaments that cause chronic pain and ligament injuries that are still unstable;gl!
