TNF inhibitor: Tnf inhibitors like enbrel, remicade, (infliximab) and Humira work faster than methotrexate. Methotrexate can take 2-3 months to get much benefit. The combination of both low dose weekly Methotrexate and a tnf inhibitor is the best. See a rheumatologist if you want to try adding a tnf inhibitor for maximum effectiveness.

Consider a biologica: If you have psoriasis that is not responding to Methotrexate in adequate doses (20-25mg weekly) then you should consider adding a biological medication like Humira Enbrel or stelara (ustekinumab) discuss with your dermatologist.
