Don't scratch!: First, wash the area with water and soap. Apply a cold pack and take an antihistamine such as Cetirizine (zyrtec) or Diphenhydramine (benadryl). Apply an antiseptic cream. If no better in 24 hours or getting worse, see a physician.

Infected bite: You might have gotten a flea bite or just a scratch which has gotten infected. It is unlikely to be an allergic reaction which is almost always accompanied by itching. See your doctor for treatment if topical antibiotic cream does not help.
