A member asked:

Understanding that the ideal heart rate is 60-80bpm, is there an optimal heart rate? mine is 60bpm. should it be a tad higher or is it perfect?

Likely normal: Provided you have excluded cardiovascular causes (sick sinus syndrome, CAD etc) your heart rate is low normal and either points to an athletic lifestyle or genetic predisposition to a low (but perfectly normal) heart rate. If you do not experience dizzines and have no other symptoms I do not believe that you have a problem.
