Depends.: There is no specific best rate. The "normal " is 72. If you are athletic it will be slower but if out of shape and obese it will be faster. In the 70 and 80 ranges is good.

60-70 for your age: Resting heart rate in the absence of disease is a measure of fitness. Many fit persons have resting rates less than 60. Mine is currently 58 for example. Thanks for trusting HealthTap!
