I had ct scan done which showed enlarged pineal gland and was ordered mri with contrast to interrogate it. mri showed nothing but partial empty sella with no mention of pineal gland on report. why?

You sure not pit: Uitary. The pituitary gland sits in the sella turcica and not the pineal gland. Make sure to get a copy of the report. If the cat scan does report a problem with the pineal gland then you may need to call the radiology department at the hospital where the MRI was performed to make sure the MRI addresses this gland. Mistake: Since the MRI was done to evaluate the pineal gland, the report should have mentioned it.
