A member asked:

Ct scan says there is a 7.2x7.3cm prominent low-density structure above the quadrigeminal plate cistern, near the pineal gland, what could this be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hopefully cyst: Get an MRI scan without and with contrast to better evaluate the structure anatomically. Of course you should be examined by a neurosurgeon or neurologist. Severe headaches or neurological symptoms suggest the structure might exerting pressure on local brain structures.
